IWD - Inspirational Women stories submission
  • International Women's Day 2026: Who inspires you?

  • For International Women’s Day 2026, we are gathering stories of inspiring women from the Labour Movement in our region.

So many of us have been inspired by strong women who fight for the rights of others – we want to know who has inspired you.

It might someone who is already well-known, it might be someone who deserves to be better known, it might be someone personal to you – your mam or your grandma who raised you to fight for others!

We are looking for stories of women who have a connection with the labour movement or the struggle for women’s rights, with either a connection to our region through birth, life or work, or a link personal to you as a Unite activist in this region. Above all, we are looking for stories of women who made a difference.
