    A Unite Development Day for women members - Friday 7th March, Unite Regional Office, Leeds, 10.30am to 3.30pm
  • March 8th is International Women’s Day – a day for celebrating inspiring women, reflecting on the challenges that face us, and coming together to make change.

    Join us to hear from RANDIE PEARSON of the UNITED STEELWORKERS UNION, USA on the realities of life as a woman and a trade unionist in Trump’s America.

    You are invited to a Unite Women’s development day – all Unite women members in the North East, Yorkshire and Humber are welcome:

    1. Hear from inspirational activists
    2. Meet and share ideas with other Unite women members
    3. Workshops on: legal update for Unite women activists; organising against sexual harassment in the workplace; taking women’s health and safety seriously (topics to be confirmed)
    4. Learn about opportunities for women’s development and voices within Unite
      Help shape our new Unite NEYH Women’s Network

    This event is open to all women Unite members in North East, Yorkshire and Humber – activists, branch officers, workplace reps and interested members. Lunch will be provided, and travel costs reimbursed.
