Re. Unite the Union Ballot on GoU/WRC Proposals

    Dear Member,

Further to the recent pay negotiations with the company, through the Group of Unions, we ended up at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) where we arrived at a set of proposals to be put to a ballot of our members with a recommendation for acceptance from your committee and the Union.

    The proposals are:

    ·      4% increase in basic pay for 2024 backdated to the 1st of January, processed through the new matrix.
    ·      A one off €250 voucher to be paid in January 2025.
    ·      Updated Matrix for 2024.
    ·      Agreement to engage on a new pay model in September2024.

Please find attached a copy of the WRC Proposals including the new matrix on pay for 2024 and a link for an electronic consultative ballot.

Your online consultative ballot form is linked to your membership number to ensure the ballot is run fairly and each eligible member gets one vote.

The details of your individual vote in the ballot will be anonymised by Unite’s research officer when the consultative ballot closes.
The ballot will remain open until close of business Monday the 8th of July.

Any questions at all regarding the content of the above, the ballot and the WRC Proposals please do not hesitate to contact one of your local reps or the Waterford office on 051-875438.

    Yours Sincerely,

Your online consultative ballot form is linked to your membership number to ensure the ballot is run fairly and each eligible member gets one vote.
The ballot form also asks you to check that we hold the correct information for your employer, workplace and job category, as these details would be needed if members vote to progress to a formal industrial action ballot and we will use this to update the employment details on your membership record.
The details of your individual vote in the ballot will be anonymised by Unite’s research officer when the consultative ballot closes.
The ballot result shared with Unite’s national and regional officers or elected representatives will show the overall ballot result and voter turnout by employer, workplace and occupation only. Your individual voting record will not be stored by Unite after the ballot has closed and the result declared.
