    Unite Collective Grievance:

Treat Part-time Staff Equally for the £1000 Cost of Living Payment

  • We the undersigned wish to raise a collective grievance in accordance with Lloyds Banking Group policies.

Although we think it is positive that the bank has decided to address the serious concerns raised by employees over pay and the cost of living crisis through Unite’s Pay Campaign, we think the bank’s decision to make a £1000 cost of living payment to staff on a pro-rata basis is inherently unfair.

We are just as vulnerable to the unfolding economic downturn & struggling just as much as our full-time colleagues. We also believe that making the payment pro-rata will disproportionately affect women, who are more likely to have caring responsibilities and work on a part-time basis.

We are asking the bank to treat all A-G colleagues equally and make the full payment to part-time employees. We expect to receive a formal response to this grievance within 7 days of receipt.
